With the balance coming from cool-climate portions of Sonoma, all aged in previously used oak. There's a bit of Viognier (1.5%) co-fermented with whole-cluster Syrah too. The result is an attractive blend of brighter, peppery-herbal notes with deeper meat and blackberry nuances. It's full-bodied on the palate, then both tannic and bright on the finish, without being overly so, giving it a nicely structured feel but remaining immediately accessible.
