Medium ruby-red. Subdued, slightly floral aromas of black cherry, licorice and sappy spice. Intensely flavored and nicely round, with good density for the vintage. Enticing flavor of dark chocolate adds to the wine's complexity. Not a particularly fruity style but stylish, youthful and built to age. This seems quite successful for the vintage.
