96 Points Vinous, Antonio Galloni - This 1959 Maury may be Philippe Gayral's greatest find. From the oldest parcels of Grenache Noir and Carignan, aged 40 years in wooden foudres. The bouquet is sublime — red plum, mulberry, burnt toffee and stewed clementines. The palate is beautifully balanced with filigree tannins, fig jam, Moroccan spices and outstanding length. Only 300 bottles produced.
